About

Bluenoser
I grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.  That's right, also the home of "Sid The Kid", Sidney Crosby.  Well, I played hockey when I was a kid, too...and that's why I'm a carpenter now.

Other than winning two tournaments with my hockey team, The Iceholes, this folding wooden table is the best thing I've ever accomplished with a hockey stick.

Inspiration
My Grandfather, Jack White, a veteran of World War II, was a pillar in the community of Woodside, Nova Scotia.  He was revered for skill and wisdom in this small, close-knit community that he literally helped build from the ground up.
My Grandmother, Minnie, who stood less than 5 feet tall was the president of just about every organization she ever joined - what a force!
Woodside is where my mother, Carol, was born and where she married my father, Gerald Marshall (they had 8 children!).

Woodside is where I dodged parental supervision and engaged in shenanigans with all my cousins at my grandparent's house, shared many great times and holiday meals with family.
Woodside Carpentry is named in honour of everything that grew out of the house that Jack built.
